Jenny Day

Jenny Day

Jenny Day earned an MFA in painting and drawing from the University of Arizona, a BFA in painting from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and a BA in environmental studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is a painter who has divided her time between Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Tucson, Arizona. She paints a fragmented space, examining human demand and the effects of environmental degradation on an understanding of place. Day taught courses in painting and sculpture at the University of Arizona and courses in art and ecology with Sierra Institute through the University of California, Santa Cruz. Day's work has been exhibited throughout the United States including the Crocker Museum, CA, Woodbury Art Museum, UT, Center for Contemporary Arts Santa Fe, Ground Floor Gallery, TN, Tucson Museum of Art, Davis Dominguez Gallery, AZ, Zhou B. Art Center in Chicago, and the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Day has attended residencies at the Kimmel Harding Nelson Art Center, NE, Ucross Foundation, WY, Jentel Foundation, WY, and Playa Residency Program, OR.

Kathleen Wilcox

Kathleen Wilcox has been an enamelist and educator for over 30 years. She teaches studio enamel classes at art centers like the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. Since 1986 Kathleen has been producing enamel wall pieces and enamel jewelry; her award-winning enamel work is exhibited and sold in national juried shows, galleries, and at art festivals. Michael Las Casas is an accomplished local artist experienced in watercolors, oils, pastels (street painting), screen printing, graphic design, graphite, and color pencil. Ricky Frank

Ricky Frank graduated with a Psychology degree, but when he saw the incredible cloisonné enamel jewelry of Gael Silverblatt, he decided that he would learn to make enamels. Through much practice, experimentation, and a few workshops, Ricky began exhibiting at high-end craft shows including the Philadelphia Museum of Craft Show and the Smithsonian Craft Show. He has taught at the Arrowmont School of Art and Craft, The National Enamelist Society, Florida Society of Goldsmiths, and the National Enamelist Guild in Washington, DC. His career is a balance between creating art and teaching, which has allowed him to put his psychology background to good use as he focuses on "confidence building" as a part of his pedagogy.

Spence Townsend

Spence Townsend

Spence Townsend earned his BFA in painting and drawing from the University of Southern Mississippi, and his MFA in painting and drawing from the University of Georgia. He works primarily with oil painting and screen printing and also explores the possibilities between art, music, and animation. He taught painting and drawing courses at the University of Georgia. Townsend was the manual screen printer at a graphics company in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. His art has been featured in group exhibitions at the Georgia Museum of Art and Rogue Space in New York City. His solo exhibitions include a 2016 show at the Lyndon House in Athens, Georgia, and a 2015 showing at Southside Gallery in Oxford, Mississippi. He has received numerous awards and grants such as the Wilson Center Graduate Research Award, the Tom Hollingsworth Art Scholarship Fund for Graduate Research, and The Mary Rosenblatt Graduate Scholarship. American Illustration published one of Townsend's pieces in their annual 2016 online anthology.
