Rafael Domenech: MIDDLE GROUND
Exhibition Dates: September 10-October 22
Opening Reception: September 10, 6-8pm

 

This freshly arrived Cuban artist will exhibit works which reflect the backdrop of his adolescence, incorporating graffiti art, wall etchings, wire fences, and traces of revolutionary propaganda among the cityscapes, bringing to our attention the deterioration of the Cuban infrastructure and neglect of its architectural legacy. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, showing in the East Gallery.

Opening reception admission: FREE for members, $5 for non-members

Armory Director of Gallery Services, Ann Fay Rushforth will curate New*Art, gathering together works for the discerning eye of the Judge for Prizes, Gallery Director Fredric Snitzer, known as a "Miami heavy hitter", representing controversial artists with international reputations in diverse media and known for his strong presence at Art Basel Miami, showcasing new talent. Open to all artists working in all media, this exhibition is devoted to showcasing international entries of cutting-edge visual art. Artists are invited to apply to exhibit recent work produced after 2008. Fredric Snitzer will choose the winning selections for prizes in cash and in kind.

Second annual exhibition sampling work of over 60 Armory adjunct instructors in all media. Opening reception and awards.

REFLECTIVE ART-SEABRACH ART LEAGUE
Exhibition Dates: December 3, 2010-January 21, 2011
Opening Reception: December 10, 2010

 

Reflective Art-Seabrach Art League, Martin County and surrounding areas. Juried by Charles A. Stainback, Curator of Photography, Norton Museum of Art. Silent auction of artist designed mirrors and scholarship fundraiser for Title 1 school children, including U.B. Kinsey Magnet School for the Arts, the partner elementary shcool of the Armory Art Center.
