Lisa M. Johnson

Lisa Johnson graduated from Miami University with a BFA in metalsmithing and jewelry design and continued her education at Indiana University where she earned an MFA. Her artwork exhibits traditional methods found in metalsmithing and jewelry and frequently incorporates ceramic techniques to enhance service ware, jewelry, and sculpture. Lisa has been awarded residencies at Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts, Haystack Mountain School of Craft, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, and the Armory. Lisa exhibits nationally and internationally and has appeared in many recent industry publications. Her passion for teaching classes of all experience levels enables her to motivate students in developing their studio skills and finding their voice. Lisa is the Director of the Jewelry and Metalsmithing department.
