reflective ART Exhibition and Auction to Fill the Armory Art Center with Mirrored Art
West Palm Beach, FL (Sept. 20, 2010)-- The Armory Art Center is proud to partner with the Seabranch ART League and open its doors to the community for a unique exhibition Reflective ART, running, December 3, 2010 thru January 22, 2011. The Seabranch ART League, founded in 2004 in Hobe Sound includes artists from Jensen Beach, Martin and Palm Beach counties. The opening reception will be December 10, 6-8 pm.
28 artists will show their work as well as functional ART Mirrors created by each artist for an exhibition and charitable auction at the Armory Art Center Jan 14, 2011. To create these ART Mirror pieces, each artist used their specific medium ranging from oil and acrylic painting to embellishing, sculpting and even Gyotaku, a traditional form of Japanese fish printing.
At the end of the exhibition, each ART Mirror will be auctioned with proceeds benefiting the U.B. Kinsey/Palmview Elementary School of the Arts. Tim Luke, of HGTV’s popular show “Cash in the Attic” will serve as auctioneer.
The Seabranch ART League’s mission “to open the doors of art to the community” aligns with the commitment of The Armory Art Center and the U.B. Kinsey/Palmview Elementary School to provide artistic excellence and achievement while making art an integral part of life.
