ARMORY ART CENTER RECEIVES GRANT FROM COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR 25,000

WEST PALM BEACH, FL. (February 27, 2017) – The Armory Art Center is pleased to announce it has received a $25,000 grant from the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties. These funds will support the “Forever Nonprofit Endowment Challenge.”  Dr. Tom Pearson, Executive Director said “As we continue to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Armory, we reflect on how we have been able to serve the community, our collaboration with the Community Foundation, and how a permanent endowment signals to our community that we are a strong progressive art education institution and will be here for generations to come.”

The Community Foundation awards annual grants through a competitive application and review process. “The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties is focused on its goal to endow the future of its local nonprofits. A matching challenge like this one provides organizations like the Armory Art Center with future stability and a foundation from which to grow—one not contingent on the success of current or future fundraising efforts. It’s an investment into our community,” said Brad Hurlburt, president and CEO at the Community Foundation.
