My Little Artist & Me
This program is designed for 2-4.5 year olds and their parent/caregiver. The program promotes and enhances developmental skills and benchmarks; motor and social development; school readiness; artful fun; parent and child connections; creative expression and self-esteem; and imagination! Looking Around Us: Drawing from Observation
Students will create drawings and paintings from life. Examples include sketching a bowl of fruit (still life), drawing from a model (figurative) or drawing a street scene (landscape). BAK PREP FOR COMMUNICATION ARTS
Level: 3rd & 4th Grade
This course offers all the tools to get you most prepared for the Bak Communications audition. This includes reading a movie review from a TelePrompTer, design advertisements for kid friendly products including favorite foods and usable items using technology or hand drawn, write creative stories after viewing life like and imaginary pictures. Lights, camera, action! Fifth grade aspiring actors will have last minute coaching opportunities in front of a "live" audience before the Bak Middle School of the Arts Theatre Arts audition. DREYFOOS PREP CLASS
Start preparing for your 2014 Dreyfoos School of the Arts audition. Drawing skills will be polished with emphasis on drawing from the live (clothed) model and still-life. Learn to incorporate design concepts that will be evaluated during the audition process and build the confidence necessary before your “Big Day”. Emphasis will also be placed on the written essay, sculpture, and an artistic vocabulary. Wearable Art: Jewelry
This workshop will explore creative wearable art forms through applying a range of techniques used in metalsmithing and jewelry. Suited for any level of experience, discover ways to change the surface of metal by hammering, using the rolling mill, etching, and basic enameling. In addition to surface treatment we will practice joining using links and cold connections. By the end of this workshop everyone will have made a discovery in defining what wearable art is to them and as a result take home meaningful one of kind pieces. Class Details

Learn to draw or paint the nude figure in a structured studio environment.
