Spence Townsend

Spence Townsend

Spence Townsend earned his BFA in painting and drawing from the University of Southern Mississippi, and his MFA in painting and drawing from the University of Georgia. He works primarily with oil painting and screen printing and also explores the possibilities between art, music, and animation. He taught painting and drawing courses at the University of Georgia. Townsend was the manual screen printer at a graphics company in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. His art has been featured in group exhibitions at the Georgia Museum of Art and Rogue Space in New York City. His solo exhibitions include a 2016 show at the Lyndon House in Athens, Georgia, and a 2015 showing at Southside Gallery in Oxford, Mississippi. He has received numerous awards and grants such as the Wilson Center Graduate Research Award, the Tom Hollingsworth Art Scholarship Fund for Graduate Research, and The Mary Rosenblatt Graduate Scholarship. American Illustration published one of Townsend's pieces in their annual 2016 online anthology.

Suzi K. Edwards

  Suzi K. Edwards has been designing, fabricating, and installing Public Art mosaic and ceramic projects in Florida for two decades. Successful installations include: The main Palm Beach County library, the Orlando Shakespeare Theater, and the Susan B. Katz Theater in Pembroke Pines. Suzi also teaches at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, N.Y. and the Armory Art Center.

Ted Matz

Ted Matz held the position of Chair of Painting and Drawing at the Lighthouse Art Center Gallery and School of Art in Tequesta, Florida where he taught watercolor, oil and acrylic painting, pastels, and plein air painting. He has taught classes and workshops in Michigan and Vermont and currently does domestic and international workshops in Massachusetts, Maine, Italy, France and Cuba. He majored in Watercolor at Eastern Michigan University and graduated from Kendall College of Art and Design.  He has worked in design related positions with Jacobson’s Store, Inc, Saks Fifth Avenue and Lord & Taylor. Ted chaired and coordinated the First, Second, and Third Annual Lighthouse ArtCenter’s Plein Air Festival in Tequesta/Jupiter, Florida, and recently acted as consultant to the 4th Annual Festival which brings 40 nationally recognized plein air artists from across the country and Europe. Vicki Siegel

Vicki Siegel is a contemporary artist whose mixed media paintings, photography, and sculpture explore the connection between memory and reality. She was an art director and creative director in advertising in Milan and elsewhere in Italy, Chicago, and South Florida. Vicki is a full time working artist who exhibits extensively. Her works can be found in many private collections. Vicki Siegel has studied towards a MFA at Tyler School of Art, Rome and has a BFA from the University of Illinois. She is a passionate instructor of adult painting. Vicki Siegel is a Golden Artist Educator (GAEP) and a member of the National Association of Women Artists. She is an active community volunteer who loves traveling, reading, and nature. Her studio is in Delray Beach.

Wayne Werner

Wayne Werner is a third generation metalsmith from Baltimore. Specializing in cold forging precious metals, Werner has incorporated the traditional techniques of gold and platinum smithing with his artistic vision of paying homage to the fertility cults of the ancient world. Wayne has participated in over 250 high-end craft shows nationally and has received many awards for his work including the World Gold Council’s Gold Distinction Award and the JMSA Vision award for Mokume Gane. Werner is a former instructor at the Fuji Studio in Florence, Italy, and has taught over 100 workshops at universities and craft schools around the country.

Ying Zhou is a ceramic artist who has exhibited at Clay studio in Philadelphia, Pawabic Art Gallery in Michigan, and the Toronto Art Exhibition. Her residencies have been at the Clay Studio in Philadelphia, Pawabic Pottery in Detroit, and Red Logger Clay Art Center in Mantegna. She graduated in 1983 from Jingdezhen Ceramics Institute, China. Ying also enjoys Chinese painting and brush making.
