Jeni Licata graduated from UCF in 2010 with a BS degree in Psychology, but art has always been her true passion. She has over ten years of experience working with children of all age ranges. After graduation she started working at Sandy Pines residential treatment center, a children’s mental health hospital in Jupiter, FL. It was here she learned that introducing art to a child in their early development stage is extremely important for creative growth and rehabilitation, allowing them to creatively express themselves and build self-awareness. When working with children, she keeps her lessons fun and engaging as well as educational. She specializes in ceramics using a variety of hand-building and glazing techniques and her work is mainly inspired by local marine life.
