Alicia Jane Boswell received her Masters of Fine Arts in metalsmithing/jewelry from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and a B.F.A. in functional design at Murray State University in Kentucky. She has attained positions of visiting professor, sabbatical replacement, adjunct faculty, studio assistant/technician, artist-in-residence, and visiting workshop instructor at arts/crafts education centers around the United States and internationally. In 2013 Boswell was also invited to assist and display work in a workshop at the Antonio Ratti Textile Center of the Metropolitan Museum of Art which coincided with the exhibition Gems of European Lace 1600-1920. She was invited by the Textile Support Organization in Pavia, Italy, to exhibit work, lecture, and teach a workshop on contemporary jewelry. She participated in SIERAAD Art Fair, an international jewelry fair in Amsterdam. Prior to her residency at the Armory she was teaching and working as a full time goldsmith in Louisville, KY.

Allyson Daley is a textile artist specializing in sewing, fabric manipulation, and embellishment. She has received certifications to teach from major industry manufacturers including Sulky of America, Superior Threads, and Bernina of America. For the last 6 years she has worked as creative assistant to local artist Mary Fisher. Allyson’s art is inspired by an exploration of color and texture. In her leisure time, Allyson enjoys loom weaving, quilting, needle arts, jewelry making, and reading.

Amber Dawn Tutwiler received her MFA from Florida Atlantic University (2017). Originally from South Florida, she is a hybrid maker who works across painting, sculpture, audio, and installation. Her research involves the intersection between the body, narrative, and ephemerality. Amber was an artist-in-residence at the Armory Art Center.

Amy Wolsky lives in Boca Raton, Florida, and has been a part-time artist for over 50 years. Her focus is on clay sculpture, specifically animals in motion. The sculptures are extremely labor intensive, technically challenging, and joyous to construct. Amy is also a trained silversmith, enamellist, and stone cutter. From the age 10 to 25 she attended art school at the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, MA. She is a member of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths, Enamel Guild of South Florida, and the Gem and Mineral Society of the Palm Beaches. Amy has exhibited her jewelry and animal sculptures locally and nationwide.

Andrea Huffman received a master’s degree in art education from Florida International University. She taught art for thirty-one years in Broward County Public Schools and now exhibits locally and nationally in juried and group shows, as well as solo exhibits at the Lee Wagener Gallery at Ft. Lauderdale Airport and Everglades National Park. Ms. Huffman has received two Broward County Creative Investment Grants and in 2011 was selected as one of only two Florida art educators for the first State Teachers Artist-in-Residence (STAR) program.

Anthony Burks is a native Floridian who works in a variety of media including pen & ink, pastels, watercolor, and color pencil. An Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale graduate, Burks has won numerous awards including Best of Show. Beth Sloat received her BFA in Graphic Design from Colorado State University and worked as a bio-medical graphic artist. She pursued her fine art studies at the Armory Art Center. She enjoys painting and drawing from life in the local area. Since 2001, she has exhibited at numerous public venues, art galleries, and has work in private collections. During the school year, she teaches fundamentals of art to young children and their parents/ guardians and teaches young artists at the Armory’s Summer Art Camp. She also teaches drawing and painting classes for adults.

Bobbie Brubaker is a mixed media artist and taught traditional black and white photography, mixed media and digital photography in Palm Beach County before retiring in 2018. She studied at the University of Maryland and taught 2D art there before moving to Palm Beach County in 1988. Bobbie’s curiosity keeps her constantly experimenting and exploring. Her current work is in digital imagery. Bobbie is National Board Certified in Studio Art and enjoys working with teenagers and encouraging their exploration of art and finding their personal voice. For 15 years she has taught Advanced Placement Studio Art courses and is an AP Studio Art Exam Reader. Bobbie’s work has been exhibited in Miami, Orlando and throughout Florida. Bobbie is the director of 2D media at the Armory Art Center.
