Armory Art Center and the Association of Israel’s Decorative Arts Private opening and cocktail party
The Armory Art Center (www.armoryart.org) and the Association of Israel’s Decorative Arts (AIDA) (www.aidaarts.org) had a private by-invitation-only opening and cocktail party Thursday, March 13. The event was well-attended with over 100 people having the opportunity to view and purchase one-of-a kind fabric and jewelry art. Attendees also had a chance to view a flame-working demonstration by AIDA artist, Nirit Dekel, whose work is for sale. Israeli Art Month at the Armory Art Center is through April 5 and features unique works created by leading Israeli fiber artists. Nancy Yaw of Yaw galleries also had jewelry by Israeli artists for sale during the first two weeks of the exhibition.
The event, sale and exhibition were all held to benefit the Israeli artists, AIDA and the Armory. The event was hosted by Dale & Doug Anderson, Charles Bronfman, Arlene Kaufman & Sandy Baklor and Jan & Harding Willinger.
