Armory, Four Arts Celebrate the Work of Jane Davis Doggett


Palm Beach, FL: The Society of the Four Arts has partnered with The Armory Art Center for a series of events featuring the work of artist Jane Davis Doggett. A pioneer in the field of architectural and graphic design, Jane Davis Doggett is best known for her career in creating graphic identities. She is a master artist who creates IconoChrome ™ prints from her drawings, which are translated into large format murals. Her latest series of images draws on the Everglades and Nature as its influence.


On Thursday, February 10 at 3 p.m. Doggett will discuss her work as part of the Four Arts Campus on the Lake Lecture Series. The cost for this illustrated lecture is $20 and reservations can be made by calling (561) 805-8562. The following evening, February 11, The Armory Art center will hold a reception in honor of the opening of an exhibition of. Doggett’s work from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Admission is free. The exhibition will then open February 12 and will run until March 26.


Both The Society of the Four Arts and the Armory have planned interactive events for visitors to learn more about the exhibition. On February 17 Jane Davis Doggett will lead a tour and give a demonstration to visitors to the Armory from 1 to 3 p.m. On March 4, the Four Arts will be offering a field trip to the exhibition, featuring a guided tour and luncheon. Finally, on March 21,. Doggett will again lead a tour and demonstration at The Armory, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
