The Armory Art Center on Fox & Friends!

Fox & Friends

July 3rd

The Armory Art Center is excited to announce that we will be featured on the national morning show, Fox & Friends on Wednesday, July 3rd 6-9am. Our Director of Education, Talya Lerman and Armory Teen Art Council member Gianna Bishop will represent the Armory. The show asked the Armory teen artists to re-create a scaled-down version of the West Palm Beach ‘Big George’ sticky note mural they created for their New York City set. Talya and Gianna will work through the night to create this mural and will be interviewed live the next morning.

The local ‘Big George’ patriotic mural is the result of a partnership between the Armory Art Center and the City of West Palm Beach. The 5,000 multi-color sticky note mural of George Washington ‘Big George’ was created in a 23-ft. window at the Mandel Public Library on Clematis Street, and completed by ATAC! volunteers from the Armory Art Center. ‘Big George’ is one of many patriotic sticky note murals in Downtown West Palm Beach leading up to the 25th anniversary of the 4th on Flagler celebration. This mural was created by ATAC! members: Emma Ely, Daniella Ellinger, Jordan Lane Palmer, Meredith Padgett, Gianna Bishop, Kirsten Kelly, Christian Holmes and Yasmine Ampuero.

We are very proud of our ATAC! students and our partnership with the City of West Palm Beach. This will be quite a promotion for all of us! We hope you can tune in!
