3rd Annual West Palm Beach Arts Festival and Armory Open House –
Double Fun for Free

WEST PALM BEACH, FL, November 6, 2018. The 3rd Annual West Palm Beach Arts Festival is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, December 1 & 2, 2018 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. The Armory Open House will run during the festival on Saturday, December 1st from 1:00 – 4:00 pm in Montgomery Hall. Both events are free and open to the public.

The West Palm Beach Arts Festival

This free event features 80 local and out-of-town juried artists working in ceramics, drawing, textiles, glass, jewelry, photography, printmaking, sculpture, mixed-media, and painting. The festival is scheduled at a perfect time for holiday shopping and is a great place to find unique gifts. Artists will have the opportunity to interact with the public through art demos and booth chats. Live music will play throughout the weekend interspersed with Armory studio demonstrations. Food and beverage vendors will be on site. Armory instructors will teach children to create holiday projects in the Kids Zone, making the festival a perfect experience for families. The festival will be held outdoors in the sculpture garden and in the parking lot.

This year’s entertainment includes the Roaring Kelly Band, the Orchid City Brass Band, Palm Beach Pipes and Drums, Nick Manzino Trio, and Palm Beach State College Jazz Ensembles.

Tom Pearson, Executive Director of The Armory Art Center, explains what makes the West Palm Beach Art Festival so unique.  “We are the only juried art show in the city of West Palm Beach, with artists’ work having to pass a panel of judges before they are invited to the show.”  The artists selected offer great quality work that is affordable. “We want to make sure people can come and buy their holiday gifts.”

The festival is sponsored by the Laurence W. Levine Foundation, Inc., The Palm Beach Post, West Palm Beach Arts & Entertainment District, Florida Weekly, Steam Horse Brewery, the Board of County Commissioners, the Tourist Development Council, and the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County.
