Concepts to be unveiled for future expansion of the Armory Art Center

West Palm Beach, FL. May 1, 2019. The Armory Art Center has entered into a partnership with Palm Beach State College Advanced Design class for this semester. The students have undertaken the Armory expansion and renovation as their semester project.

Advanced Design students will unveil their concepts on Monday, May 6, 2019  from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. Attendees will view conceptual drawings and model presentations at the Armory.

The class of eleven students are creating conceptual drawings and models of the Armory Art Center of the future. This is a design exercise for the students and a great opportunity for the Armory to collect ideas of ways to expand and grow in the future.

First, second, and third prize will be awarded. Judges are Doug Brown, Rafael Clemente, Ken Elias, Chester Luby, Carlos Morrison, and Gopal Rajegowda.

The demand for classes at the Armory has continued to increase. During the past two years, student enrollment increased 14% with this year’s record attendance of 3,350 students.

“It is now time for the Armory to renovate and expand to meet the needs of our students and our community. We have been fortunate to partner with the Palm Beach State College Advanced Design Class for this semester,” said Executive Director of the Armory Tom Pearson.
