Armory Art Center Welcomes Kim Harty as New Executive Director
(WEST PALM BEACH, FL) October 13, 2014: The Armory Art Center announces the selection of Kim Harty as Executive Director, replacing Interim Executive Director and Board Vice-President, Nancy Lambrecht, who volunteered her services for the last six months. Ms. Harty assumed her role on Monday, October 13th.
“After an extensive search, we found the right person to bring the Armory to the next level” said Board President, David Veselsky.
Originally from the Midwest, Ms. Harty has over twenty years of senior management experience with large and small YMCAs throughout the Northeast, most recently in Bar Harbor, Maine. Ms. Harty played a role in bringing arts curriculum to the YMCA nationwide. The many skills Ms. Harty brings to the Armory include: expertise in non-profit governance, finance, programing, grant writing, public speaking and evaluating community needs.
Ms. Harty said, “I am excited to marry my love of the arts with my skills in executive non-profit management --- it is a long-time dream. I look forward to working with the board, members, faculty and donors to expand upon the mission of the Armory.”
Ms. Harty has recently relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida.
