The Armory Art Center Welcomes Visiting Master Artists and Announces Two New Exhibitions
West Palm Beach, FL. (October 20, 2009) -- The Armory Art Center welcomes nationally and internationally recognized Visiting Master Artists and opens its gallery doors Friday, November 6, 2009 to two exceptional exhibitions: Visual Conceits: Fantasy or Reality and Visiting Master Artist Exhibition.
Visiting Master Artist Program:
The Visiting Master Artist Workshop Series begins its 13th season this December. The series has been carefully designed to provide artists at all levels of skill and experience, from beginner to professional, the opportunity to study with the best of today’s master artists working in the areas of alternative media, ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, jewelry, glass, metals and sculpture.
Armory Visiting Masters are internationally recognized artists and educators who will share their considerable expertise in workshops distinguished by broad-based knowledge and in-depth specialization. Students of all abilities are invited to explore a range of disciplines and media in the Armory’s atmosphere of creative interaction, artistic intensity and easy camaraderie.
This year’s program promises to bring the same high quality of instruction, small class size, subjective and stylistic diversity that has become our signature. From December through April the 2-5 day Visiting Master Artist Workshops provide intensive study in the studio arts. Workshops are held between 9:30am - 4:30pm with complimentary coffee/tea and lunch provided by the Armory. Participants are responsible for any materials needed for their workshop.
